Vágtázó Halottkémek (Galloping Coroners) an amazing, not so popular, band from Hungary.
Playing a kind of a wild shamanic psychedelic punk rock accompaniment by Attila Grandpierre's magical screams.
As the group says, it is a magical natural music, a cosmic vision about the origin of presence.
Formed in 1975 by Attila Grandpierre, a renown Hungarian astronomer, doctor of natural sciences,
physical sciences (astronomy), professor, writer, poet and musician.
The band was one of the first to play outside of Hungary
and during their existence they released 7 albums and finally split up in 2000.
Hammering On The Gates Of Nothingness (A Semmi Kapuin Dörömbölve) was released
by Jello Biafra’s record label "Alternative Tentacles".
Einstürzende Neubauten, Henry Rollins, Jello Biafra and Iggy Pop regarded Vágtázó Halottkémek
as one of the most important bands.
Nowadays Attila Grandpierre continues as Vágtázó Csodaszarvas (Galloping Wonder Stag)
a same attitude band as the original using ancient instruments playing shamanistic folk music of the ancient Huns.
