Jääportit was started by Tuomas M. Mäkelä as his solo project in the northern parts of Finland in 1997.
First demo “Halki Lumisen Metsän” was self-published in 1998 as a limited to 50 handmade CDR's.
In 1999 the limited to 500 copies cassette album “Kauan koskematon” was released by the Finnish label Noitavasara, introducing the music style of Jääportit, creating dreamy synth/ambient/neo classical, in the vein of Mortiis and Arcana.
This release also featured artwork cover done by Aslak Tolonen from the Finnish band Nest.
Next album “Uumenissa” (Firebox Records, 2004) contained dreamful frostbitten ambient music, 

painted with soothing electronic synthwaves, atmospheric and cosmic sounds.
The 3rd full-length Jääportit album “Avarrus” (Epidemie Records, 2006) kept on the line of musical experiments 

as it had more rhythmic elements, electronic beats and percussion, than the earlier releases.  
Jääportit released its 4th full-length album entitled “Voimasuo” in 2009 as a CD Digipak by Epidemie Records.

This wide-ranging album introduced another metamorphosis of Jääportit 

as combination of ambient electronica with the touch of frosty post-rock flavours.
The latest fifth full-length Jääportit album titled as “Jääportit” was released in 2018.
For this album, Tuomas created everything by himself from composing music to designing album covers,
so as to maintain the aspect of loneliness and diy-spirit as it was back in 1997, when he started this project.

Only now guitar was more involved than before and all songs were built around guitar riffs.

Sound is less “dungeon synth” and more “post-rock” in a way.
Also in 2018 the Ukrainian label Old Captain released the "Halki Lumisen Metsän" and "Kauan Koskematon" records 

for the first time on a compilation CD as a 6-panel matte-laminated Digipak, limited to 300 copies.

Coil were an English experimental music group, founded in 1982 by John Balance in London.
Initially envisioned as a solo project by lead singer and songwriter Balance (born Geoffrey Burton) 
while he was in the band Psychic TV, Coil evolved into a full-time project with the addition of Peter Christopherson,
a former member of pioneering industrial group Throbbing Gristle who became Balance's creative and personal partner.
Throughout the group's existence, Balance and Christopherson were the only constant members.
Coil worked in such genres as industrial, noise, ambient and dark ambient, neo-folk, spoken word, drone, and minimalism, treating their works more as magical rituals than as musical pieces
and becoming the forefront of European experimentalism and electronic music.
In 1985, the group began working on a series of soundtracks, among them music for the first Hellraiser movie
based on the novel The Hellbound Heart by their acquaintance at that time, Clive Barker.
Unfortunately Coil withdrew from the project when they suspected their music would not be used
as the production company wanted a more commercial soundtrack and Christopher Young was their man of choice.
Furthermore, Coil claimed inspiration for Pinhead was partly drawn from the PFIQ (Piercing Fans International Quarterly) magazines that director Barker borrowed from the group.
In 1987 the 10'' EP "The Unreleased Themes For Hellraiser" (subtitled "The Consequences Of Raising Hell") was released
with printed notes on sleeve by Clive Barker stating:
"The only group I've heard on disc, whose records I've taken off because they made my bowels churn."
The CD edition entitled "Hellraiser Themes" was released later in 1990 and featured three extra unreleased tracks.
With the passing of Balance on 13 November 2004 Christopherson decided that Coil would not continue.
Six years later Christopherson died in his sleep on 24 November 2010 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bruno Ardo (born 30 January 1973 in Penafiel, Portugal) is a Portuguese multi-instrumentalist and composer.

Most of his work has been focused on instrument collecting and field-recordings.
Ardo has collaborated both as a guitarist and as a composer with a number of projects

from experimental music to folk or psych rock.
Zwickau was another B. Ardo's project (Sangre Cavallum, Silence, Warriors Of Nature among others) 

that was performing ritualistic dark/ambient soundscapes.
At least two cassetes were released through Ardo's personal label Forgotten Blood.
A couple of songs also featured on some compilations.
Zwickau's second album "The Serpent's Law" was released through Emanuele Lago's 

Italian cassette label Psychotic Release in 1995 as a limited edition of 222 copies in A5 package.

Semsis was a UK duo formed by Nick Smith and Iain Rive.
Before the release of their first, and only one, album the band had recorded several EP's

and had established themselves as a well known dance act on the club circles.
After signing to the UK goa/psychedelic trance label Atomic Records they released their full length album in 1999

entitled "Letting Go" that received excellent reviews internationally.
The album featured actual guitarist and drummer on selected tracks adding a different vibe to their work.
Their music style links heavy beats with dark psy/goa trance along with experimental techno influences

that work well on fast tracks and slowed down melodies.

Udumbal was formed in 1998 by Voist Angiras as an experimental project 

in which there was an attempt to recreate the ritual Vedic Brahmans in the style of black metal.

With the help of Wraith Angiras on bass, sampling and programming 

they recorded their first album in 1998 entitled "Sarcis".
After the publication of "Sarcis", work began on the following material,

that was released at the end of 1999 under the title "Ahi Budhnya".
The album is based on the envocation of the archetype of the Serpent and to the primary Chaos

and its unmanifested nature, consuming the duality of Creation through the womb of Shakti,

in connection with the tantric tradition.
Both albums were originally released in a cassette format on Possession Productions.
From 1998 to 2008 another four albums were recorded that finally released in 2011 as a compilation box

under the title "From Beyond MXMVIII-MMVIII".
Udumbal's lyrics are in Sanskrit, Sumerian and Ancient Russian.

Vincent Leonard Price Jr. (May 27, 1911 – October 25, 1993) was an American actor,
known for his performances in horror films.
He identified with gothic horror and crazed villainy through a series of leading film roles in the 1960s 
that were based on Edgar Allan Poe poems and short stories such as The Raven, The Fall of the House of Usher,
The Pit and the Pendulum, and The Masque of the Red Death all of them directed by Roger Corman.
Thanks to the actor's wide exposure in those movies and others like them, his voice became immediately associated 
with the horror genre, opening the door for Price to contribute to a number of different recordings.
During the early 1970s, Price hosted and starred in BBC Radio's horror and mystery series The Price Of Fear.
He also recorded dramatic readings of Edgar Allan Poe's short stories and poems,
which were collected together with readings by Basil Rathbone.
Around 1975 he greatly reduced his film work, as horror itself suffered a slump, and increased his narrative and voice work.
His spooky laughter alone was enough to conjure all sorts of macabre thoughts and associations,
and his elegant diction only enhanced the effect.
A sampling of Price's contributions includes an appearance on Alice Cooper's "Welcome To My Nightmare" in 1975
and a guest spot on Michael Jackson's "Thriller" in 1982.
Price's album,  "Witchcraft - Magic: An Adventure In Demonology", was released by Capitol Records.

Warlust – The Final War (MCD 1999)

Warlust was raised by Furor, Sick and Nocturnasz in the spring of 1998.
They all played in various bands before, so they all had some musical experience.
In the beginning Warlust also had a vocalist and a bass player,

but a couple of months later they left because of musical discord with the rest of the band.
The music Warlust plays can be described as fast and aggressive black metal,

with minor thrash and death metal influences, combined with slower but still powerful parts.
In January and February 1999 the band recorded their debut mini-CD "The Final War".

The MCD contains 5 songs of blackened war metal, and was released in July 1999 on Happy Holochrist Records.

The vocals on this recording are done by Lord Charagnanna (Charagnanna, Unshrouded Bitterness, ex-Sabbatical Goat),

who later became a permanent member in Warlust.
Shortly after Troll, another ex-member of Sabbatical Goat, joined Warlust on bass.
With this line-up Warlust recorded in 2001 their only full length album "Trench War" that was released in 2003.
Soon after the recording of "Trench War" the band split up 

while Nocturnasz and Furor continued with their side project band Pestis.
