Core was a sound art duo related to Cranioclast and consisted of Chi Moja and Sankt Klario,
with the help of other contributors under the names of Pia Pankok, Mr. Coitra and Bela.
The band released two albums, "Chants Of Race & Emptiness" in 1988 and "An Area's Era Aria" in 1991,
and a 7'' EP in 1991 entitled "My Core".
Often they used field recordings made in abandoned factories and buildings as a basic source,
creating unique post-industrial soundscapes.
All of their releases were published by Cranioclast's personal label CoC.
"Chants Of Race & Emptiness" was reissued in 1993 on CD format
and is consisted of two parts, side Formation (tracks 1-6) and side Procession (tracks 7-9).
