Dust started back in 1996 when Joakim Jonsson and Henrik Wenngren
got the idea to start a new project on the side of their main band Mornaland.
The same year they released their first demo under the name of Nerghal.
This release was not an official one but it got very good response from the people around Joakim and Henrik.
In late 1996 Dust recorded their first official demo called "A Wander Through The Dark Realm".
The demo was released through Mester Productions
as a limited edition cassette of 300 copies and got great response from the underground.
During the year 1998, Dust was put on ice and no new material was created.
A new demo was recorded eventually in 1999 called "The Third Convention".
The demo was supposed to be released in the year 2000 by this was never happened.
In 2000 a new deal was signed with Mester Productions
for a limited edition of 500 copies 7" ep entitled "The Endless Fall", that saw the light of day in early fall of 2001.
A new contract was offered by Deathcult Productions in 2001
for the release of a demo cassette including 4 new songs but this was also never released.
In 2007 the two members of Dust decided to change their moniker to Favilla and released the demo "Spawned From Chaos".
There were plans for a new Favilla album as new songs were written
and the drums were already recorded by 2012 but since then no news have surfaced.

Lengsel – Lengsel (Demo 1997)

Country: Norway

Tracklist
1. I Det Stille Er Det Ér Sterk 07:24
2. Vakker 03:54
3. Skjulte Skatter 04:23
4. Inntil Neste Gang 03:42

Lengsel was formed in 1995 in Norway consisting of Tor Magne Glidje (Guitars, Vocals),
John Robert Mjåland (Bass) and Ole Halvard Sveen (Drums, Guitars (acoustic), Keyboards).
In 1997 they released their self-titled demo that was recorded on a 4-track Portastudio.
Their debut album "Solace" was published in 2000 emphasizing on melodic Scandinavian black metal,
but with a more progressive edge.
Shortly after the band members took a break from Lengsel and with the same line-up, they formed the band Ganglion,
a project that was departed from their black metal roots to a more rock oriented style.
By 2004 Ganglion was over and all their members joined the band Extol,
effectively merging both members and music of Ganglion with Extol,
as several Ganglion songs were incorporated into the Extol repertoire.
In 2006, while Extol was on break, a resurrected Lengsel recorded their second album,
titled "The Kiss - The Hope" and released it on the independent German label Whirlwind Records.
The album was a change on the band's music, representing more of a experimental/post-black/sludge metal/rock style.
A few months later a video was also released for the track "The Pale People".
In 2007 the original members of Extol decided to end the band and the three remaining members,
Glidje, Mjåland and Sveen started a new project called Mantric.
In 2011 Lengsel was reactivated one more time for their first and only live performance at the final year of Nordicfest
and also for their final release, the compilation "Lengsel", that featured unreleased and re-released songs.
